   Thank you for the beautiful freebies offered here. Also, i enjoyed today’s newsletter – i grew up in the midwest and then lived in California for a number of years. i came back here when my mother was widowed the second time and, although she was able to do all the things she had been doing – which were many and varied(Thanks to God), i knew it was time to “come home.” The transition was a hard one in many ways, but being with my mother was wonderful. She was a gracious and loving person with a giving, tender heart. i had 12 years as her companion and later her caregiver before the Lord took her home. i never thought i’d stay in this cold clime once she was gone, but i have remained. Your op ed reminded me of all the reasons i “came home” and all the reasons i’ve stayed, and i thank God He has given me a ministry right where i am. Now i am nearing my 7th decade, and i thank Him each day that i am able to continue to serve him daily – thank you for your words of inspiration – it helped me take stock of why i am still in a state i do not particularly like!
