My grandmother served apple pie with sharp cheddar cheese. She would say, “Apple pie without cheese is like a kiss without a squeeze.”

My hubby never heard of this combo. He was sure no one else ever heard of it either (must be a cultural thing–Grandma is from upstate NY). So I was delighted to find a restaurant that offered apple pie and cheese.

I can’t imagine apple pie without cheese. It would be like pumpkin pie without whipped cream.

Well hubby is still not a fan of apple pie and cheese but he is hooked on apples and cheese. We’re all eating a snack of apples and cheese as I type.

It is his favorite snack. Sometimes Swiss, something extra sharp cheddar. Our favorite apples are Fuji, Delicious and Granny. If you haven’t tried this combo, you should. Yum.
