I used newspaper and grass clippings and think I will have to remove because the smell is so horrible we cannot have windows open in our house, sit on patio and neither can the neighgors because of the rotting grass.

In regards to the great idea in #5 laying down newspaper as a weed barrier in your garden-for those of you that don’t buy newspapers, the warehouse clubs sell paper compast bags inexpensively and can be cut to use in the same manner. They cover a bigger area and are thicker

I am so glad you mentioned dryer sheets. Someone in my stepfather’s family had an apartment fire due to dryer sheets!
It was put out very quickly and no one was hurt. But, there are more fun ways to spend one’s time!

I have found that newspapers don’t last all season and the weeds do come threw, so, I use paper bags from the grocery store. The weeds don’t show up all season and I just roto them into the soil in the spring/

we use vinegar as our softner in the dryer…works well, no the clothes dont smell like vinegar and your towels are more absorbant because you arnt putting the commercial fabric softner in them which builds up on your clothes as well….its cheap,”organic” and does a great job…..do have to recycle the containers though…or reuse in the garden…thanks for the tip about the hardboiled eggs!!!!!! great tips here!!!
