Vinegar is an amazing cleaning product–I recently had to stop using it though due to severe allergies to vinegar in our home (both my husband and daughter.) Oh well. Peroxide and baking soda both cover a lot of the bases though.
Thanks for visiting Miller Manor today! I use vinegar a lot for cleaning. It is a green, cheap, healthy and effective cleaner. Great post, with lots of ideas I had never thought of. TM
I just bought a bottle of vinegar the other day to try it as a cleaner, and I was planning on searching for a list of it’s many uses, and as luck would have it you just posted on it. Now I don’t have to do a search. Thanks for posting on this.
I love to use vinegar. This post makes a good reference for me to come back to. You mentioned a few I didn’t know about. I also love to clean with baking soda. Thank you for posting!
I’ve actually been thinking about implementing the same practices in my home and residential cleaning business. Great thoughts and thank you for the helpful information.

You might try cleaning gym suits this way. Pour full strength white vinegar in the underarm areas of the suit and let sit for an hour or more. Wash as usual.
Actually I had to do this twice for my daughter’s and her friend’s gym suits. They were the most rancid things I ever saw (smelled). Thought I was going to have to put on a gas mask. How girls could let their suits get in this shape I’ll never know.
