Forget what you learned in Sunday school about the Beatitudes. The sermon on the Mount is not about getting on the performance treadmill to become more righteous. It is about how to deal with life as it is.
The Beatitudes are the first part of the Sermon on the Mount listed in Matthew 5:3-12 and also in Luke 6:20-23. This sermon is considered Jesus’ first, greatest, and longest sermon.
Scholars consider the kingdom of God as the central theme of Jesus’ teachings but few people understand what the Kingdom is.
—>If we don’t have a clear understanding of the kingdom of God as it relates to our lives how can we be engaged in building the kingdom of God? To understand the kingdom it is critical to understand Christianity’s Hebraic origins and basic Bible hermeneutics. Both are included in this study.

What a great idea. I am always looking for ways to creatively teach the character traits that are found within the Master’s teachings. My daughter will enjoy creating something so beautiful!

Oh boy, it would be great to do this lapbook. The kids so enjoyed the Hanukkah one, they would jump on this one for sure. Any chance we can learn more about His attributes the better. The Beattitudes are His instructions on how to be more like Him and to be closer to Him.
I would like to try one with the kids, and see if they like it, it’s a great subject matter, plus you’re my friend and I’ve loved your other books:)

My daughter is cheerful and loves life. She is also VERY creative and extremely crafty. But she struggled with homeschooling…..until we discovered lapbooking. Then everything changed! Every subject (except math) became a lapbook. Some were purchased and some she make herself – but all are so beautiful! She is thinking about becoming a pre-school teacher now. Whenever her five new (just adopted) nieces & nephews come to visit, she is making and doing with them. She just recently made Fruit of the Spirit lapbooks with them. I know she would love to do the Bee-Atitudes lapbook also!

I would love to win this, This year we are focusing on gettin more scripture in the homeschooling.
I would love to study the Beatitudes with my children because while they are generally well behaved, as a recovering Pharisee, it is their HEARTS I am most concerned about. Thank you for doing this giveaway.

We would love to study “The Kingdom of God” because we have been doing alot of discussions about it in our home lately. Our thirteen year old son is grasping alot and has alot of questions that he enjoys discussing with adults. I think this study would help to focus our discussions.
We also discuss the beatitudes often. What a great study and lapbook you have created to help with memorization of these, as well as, to aid in a greater understanding of them. LOVE what I am seeing!
All of my children like doing craft type projects and they can make lapbooks work for whatever age they are, more or less detail/difficulty. This looks so fun.
This would be such a fun way to teach my kids the Beatitudes with our homeschool each day!

I love lapbooks! They are so fun and my children really like them. My oldest children memorized the Beatitudes many years ago. Now I am going to work on them with my youngest 2. Thank you Robin! You are so creative!

The video was informative and helpful, thank you! I recently heard a series of sermons about the Beatitudes and this lapbook caught my attention as a wonderful accompaniment to what I’ve learned so far. I would be honored to win this.
My father-in-law wasn’t very excited about us homeschooling. (That’s really putting it mildly)
One time when he visited, my oldest son showed him the lapbook and notebook for the unit we had just finished. He described how “this part means this, and these pictures are for that, and this says this, and this is that” and so on. FOR AN HOUR. (it was a long unit)
After that, I never got any more strange looks or comments about homeschooling.
THAT is why I like lapbooks.

I have to be honest, Robin, I have seen all of your lovely scrapbooks, but I have never done a scrapbook… I am scared of them!! =) I think my girls would enjoy the creativity involved and would learn a great deal. I just haven’t YET taken the scrapbook plunge.

There is an old saying: Consider your thoughts, as they become your speech and your speech becomes your actions and your actions become your character. By teaching our children a deeper understanding of God’s instructions, a Hebraic way of thinking and walking out these values, we can be certain that God’s Kingdom will grow and prosper even in times such as these!

Well I never tried a lapbook and this looks like a great place to start with my daughter. I always wanted to try one and just need to find one that inspires me to buy. This one looks cute and what a lesson we could all learn.
My girls and I are reading through the book of Matthew right now and this would be great to enhance our study. My girls do so much better when we do a hands on project. This would be GREAT!

Lapbooks are sanity for homeschooling mommies. We use a bread pan in the middle of the table for trash, making easy clean-up. I enjoyed the video teaching already! Hope to win this lapbook and try your products. Looking forward to visiting your site again.
I like comparing the Torah given at Sinai with the Beattitudes given by Jesus/Yeshua. As a beginning Messianic homeschooler, this would be an important and useful feature of a hands-on learning experience!
This school year has been one of tremendous growth and challenge for me. God has been peeling back the layers of my “public school” thinking. He has shown me that I don’t have to, and don’t want to, recreate those classrooms in my home. He has shown me that my main focus needs to be on His word and His character being poured into my children’s hearts each day. I want them to see that that is a priority for their dad and I.
This peeling back of the layers, the prompting of my God to change our school focus is what brought me to your site. I have spent hours here tonight. Thank you so much for all the printables and posts that have been so helpful on my journey. I would love to use a lapbook for the first time and what better way to do it than in context with this new direction God is calling my family.
We just started doing lapbooks. I have found this to be a great way to teach multiple children in different grades and it’s FUN! I also have found the children retain more information doing lapbooks rather than traditional school. We would LOVE to do the
Bee Attitudes because we have learned them, but they don’t remember them. This would be amazing to do with them and have them actually remember them. That is success in the homeschool world!

I would love to win the Bee Attitudes lap scrapbook. I really desire to teach my children how to love the Lord with all their heart, how to trust Him during hard times and how to have a good attitude when things aren’t going the way we expect. I am very unorganized, and pray for God to help me with this over and over-He has yet to make me organized!
I know my children know I love the Lord, but I’m sure my grumpy attitude does not always reflect what God wants them to see. How can I teach them, when I am still learning (sometimes kicking as I go and grumbling) myself? There are so many times when I feel inadequate and wonder what God was thinking when He gave me (and my husband) all this responsibility-a large family and homeschooling to boot! I just don’t feel like I measure up. I am just looking for another way to get His word into their hearts and mine as well, while praying I can make the changes in me that make me worthy to be called His child. Wow, this is the 2nd or 3rd newsletter I’ve gotten this week regarding the importance of the kingdom of God. I think the LORD is trying to tell me something. My kids and I will enjoy doing this kit together–looks like a fun and rewarding Shabbat study!
I like lapbooks because everything is broken down. This makes a big subject less daunting and allows greater depth and focus to smaller/shorter topics. The Beatitudes would benefit from this as it would allow for each of the parts to be examined separately and give better understanding to how they fit together.

I would absolutely love to have the opportunity to use the Bee-Attitudes resource with my boys! I smiled when I saw this because, on my own, a few months ago I began my own study of the Beatitudes. As I was reading my Bible one morning and read these…it hit me…”It has been years since I have heard these taught in church”. I decided then to make it a priority to learn them – fresh and anew – for myself and I have been so delightfully amazed at what I have learned.
