I just recently rescued 2 great pry mix pups and LOVE them so much but they can be creative with how they occupy their time - but every time they do something naughty I am reminded that I can live without what ever they eat and the good things in life are the fun silly things. I came across your site because I was browsing images of Pyrs. Last night I snapped at my nine year old stepson for being right behind me in my very tiny kitchen and I could not turn or move without running into him. My husband called me down saying that I am better to our dogs than I am to him. What you have gleamed from the verse is so accurate and true. I need to think on these things and be slower to anger with my stepkids next time. The alternative is snapping at the dogs more and I just don't think that is a good idea (ha!). :) Thanks God! I was so frustrated with a person on-line, that it took everything out of me, the more I thought the more angry I got....then, I begin to talk to the Lord about it, and think through it, trying to process the whys of a person like this and I could hear the Holy Spirit saying, if you respond to her angry accusations and prejudices you will be putting your self out to be just like her. I could hear hear Him saying "Be patience, workout your own salvation with fear and trembling...You are not the Holy Spirit"..... Isn't God amazing? I'm so glad I stopped by today, glad to know I am not the only one who has frustrations with others. I love the way you describe things.
