Producer Mark Burnett stated,  “But we made a 10-hour walking tour from Genesis to Revelation, a tour we spent a great deal of time in prayer over…We had one of two choices: either select dozens of short summaries and tell many brief stories, or, choose fewer characters and stories but make a much deeper emotional connection. We went with the second choice.”

Premiere Date:March 03, 2013 – 08:00-10:00PM  Will run for five weeks, each week featuring two hour episodes, and ending on Easter Sunday.

Noah endures God’s wrath; Abraham reaches the Promised Land but still must prove his faith in God; Moses leads the Israelites out of Egypt, and his faith in God is rewarded when the Red Sea parts to allow the Israelites to escape Pharaoh’s chariots; Moses delivers his final message from God–the Ten Commandments.

I had so much hope for this mini-series but they have added, taken away and distorted so much that it is hard for me to let my kids watch it right now. Maybe when they are older we will watch it to point out the useful bits and the inaccurasies. The angels getting beat up and then needing Lot’s help in my eyes took away the power of God. For an unbeliever watching they might question serving a not so powerful God. Just my opinion.
