Thankful for Seven Things

It’s time for Sunday Seven– a weekly meme to share your joys, blessings or burdens.

1. We had a great Saturday. We had friends and family over to celebrate birthdays. It was a beautiful day. We had a typical Sampson BBQ–chicken on the grill, macaroni salad, baked beans, cheese, pickle and fruit trays. I love springtime.

2. I’m thankful for our youngest son, Christopher, turning 6. He is on the swing in the red shirt. I’m thankful for our second son, Anthony, turning 16. He’s pushing the swing in the red shirt. Both boys have the same birthday ten years apart. Both were due on May 15 and born on May 15. (This photo is not from this weekend)

3. I’m thankful for a sweet visit with our grandchildren Tiffany, Serria and Tyler. I was able to spend hours hours holding our newest and 13th grandbaby, Tyler. There is nothing in this world I like better than to cuddle a baby.

5. I’m thankful for Israel’ s anniversary. Israel became a nation May 14, 1948.

4. I’m thankful for praying friends! This week I faced two major issues, one with business and one medical. I felt complete peace after requesting prayer from the HOW egroup. I’m grateful God is in control and working both issues out. He gave me a glimpse of direction and I am very excited.

6. I am grateful to be alive. My girlfriend lost her 49-year-old cousin to cancer this week. While my family was having a BBQ, my friend was attending a family funeral. Sure makes you think about priorities. Please pray for the families involved.

7. I’m thankful for Fruit of the Spirit Friday meme participation. I’m looking forward to watching it grow. I rewrote the goals and tips here. I began the FOSF to encourage others to journal spiritual growth. I hope you can join us!

FSOF and Sunday Seven are two memes. There are many. See the Daily Blogs Meme List

  1. Great list. That’s a really neat story how your sons were born on the same day 10 years apart.

  2. Robin, thanks for the email and for reading my Sunday Seven. This week I’m actually getting to hold my 4 month old grand daughter Emma for the first time. Children are a blessing from the Lord. Thanks for blessing my life this week.
