Sweet posting! We celebrate and honor Sabath. As I stop and look around me, I see that our children are not "gospel hardened" rebellious teens as most we see in the churches are. Our children LOVE Sabath times togother, they dislike the carnival of curch we see...and we have seen much. We love the brethren but grieve at the "church machine" they think they must keep turning...the buildings, the jobs, the boards, programs, BLEK!!!! Some good comes granted, but we see fruit in our children and when I examine the children of the elders, the pastors, the boards of EVERY church in the past 10 years........nothing.....I mean NADDA has produced fruitful children beyond a shallow shallow crop. Maybe we should stop playing and start examining why. Of course, then we must deal with the REAL issues: we have to ask HOW to provide for people's salaries?!

Hello!
I read your post and am also a home schooler. I had been sitting at the computer and had watched a video about inner healing (Kathi Oates) on Sid Roth's website. The woman in this story was a a pastor's wife whose marriage looked great and wonderful on the front page, but when you opened the book, the story was about strife, anger, and arguing. Her marriage was in such turmoil because of her attitude that finally, she got help.
She learned by revelation that she had never embraced "fat Kathy", a little girl who represented herself. When she did that, she embraced a part of herself that she had rejected.
I fell asleep after that and had a dream. I was in this huge shopping center and couldn't find my car. The people in this shopping center were nice, but I still couldn't find my car. I continued looking and i found a beautiful chapel and a wedding was taking place. While I was watching the wedding,I heard a voice say, "Marriage is a picture of rest". It was an anointed voice that said this and I woke up feeling joyful.
I went on the internet again to look up marriage and rest. I found your post.

Wonderful reminder!

I just wanted to chare a further thought regarding this: "The more time we spend in the Word, the more we reap from the Word. The more time we sow the Word in our children’s hearts, the more spiritual fruit will be evident."

You'll recall from John that the Word became flesh...thus the more time we spend with Christ, who is now dwelling in us, the more we become like him. Likewise, the more our children spend with us, the more they become like us. If we are living lives of peace and joy and contentment and exhibiting the other fruits of the spirit, our children will be living that as well. You find rest in being in relationship with Him.

Peace!
