In THE CREATOR’S PLAN and SAVING GRACE, SAVED people are not to eat pork. period.
However,
SAVED people were always allowed TO SELL pork to the UNSAVED…. They(THE UNSAVED) have no prohibition from the CREATOR not to eat pork, since their soul is lost what happens to them on earth is of no consequence.
ONLY THE EKKLESIA, THE ONES SET APART to belong to YHVH THE ONLY CREATOR, are bound by the CREATOR’S RULES.
The unsaved run rampant over the earth, disobedient to all of YHVH’S RULES OF LIFE. Only the REMNANT(small number of people devoted to G_D and set apart be HIS) are able to obey the Saviour and abide with HIM.

Scripture is True. “avoid every form of greed”… notice that when someone makes money or thinks they save money from it, they try unsuccessfully to defend eating pork?

thankfully, the u.s. government is diligently on guard on behalf of the common people, and the u.s. government has studied extensively what happens when pork is introduced to the body(i.e. when pork is eaten)…
EVERY TIME, according to EVERY STUDY, that someone eats pork,
the immune system of the body
immediately
sends white blood cells to every area of pork contact inside the body.
Unlike other substances that the human body receives as food(and thus sends RED BLOOD CELLS FOR),
the
human body recognizes pork as toxic and
always sends WHITE BLOOD CELLS to FIGHT THE INFECTION.

You’re right — there was obviously an understanding of the difference between “clean” and “not clean.” I guess I’m wondering, though, if “unclean” really translates into, “You’re not supposed to eat that.”

God tells Noah in Genesis 7:2,8 to bring “clean” (tahor) and “not clean” (lo tahor) animals on the ark; then in Genesis 8:20, Noah built an altar and made burnt offerings on it to Adonai with the clean animals.

Then, in Genesis 9:3-4, God gives “every creeping thing that is alive” to Noah “for food,” without any distinction between the “clean” and “not clean.”

What’s up with that?

Actually God told Noah to bring a certain amount of clean and unclean animals onto the ark, so they did have a revelation of unclean and clean animals. It seems at this time knowledge was passed on as to what animals were clean and unclean, possibly as far back as Adam.

Thanks for this article. I agree that God says pork (among other specified things) is an abomination to Israel.

I was wondering what your take is on Genesis 9:3-4, “Every creeping thing that is alive, to you it is for food…” which, as you know, is part of God’s universal covenant with mankind through Noah. Does this mean that after the flood and during the time of Noah (and for a while afterward) that God gave pork as an acceptable food to eat? — that at one time, it was not “abominable”?

I saw this blog this morning and did not have time to respond until now. Many of you (to include Robin) have answered some of the objections. (i.e. Peter’s Vision is about Gentiles getting saved and not our dinner menu!) In Colossians, there is historical and gramatical evidence that those doing the judging were Gentile pagans judges Gentile believers for being too Jewish. Other scriptures about not judging young (unestablished) believers regarding food was a “Vegan vs. Meat” eating diet, not clean vs. unclean. Finally, the Apostle Paul in 2 Cor. 6:11-18 instructs Gentile believers not to touch (or partake) of anything unclean. Unclean is a theological term that is defined in the Torah. When we rightly divide the Word, it all agrees from cover to cover.
