Organize Homeschool Resources with Pinterest

Pinterest is a free social visual bookmarking site that allows users to tag and organize images into virtual inspiration boards. It can be very useful for homeschoool teachers. You can use it to find or store find worksheets, lapbooks, unit studies, craft ideas, workboxes, educational games, etc.

I actually share more on Pinterest than I do on this blog.

For example: this is my Homeschool:Bible Board
Follow Robin Sampson’s board Homeschool: Bible on Pinterest.

It is similar to Delicious or Evernote but only for images. You can follow people’s Pinterest board like Twitter or Facebook. Currently there are 417 Homeschool Boards.

You can create your own categories for your bulletin boards and then “pin” anything you want to each individual board. You can then access them from any computer, ipad, phone, etc.

Homeschoolers Can Help Homeschoolers

If homeschoolers saved images and tagged with the word #UnitStudy or #Lapbook we can share favorite sites. For example we recently made a Wright Brothers Lapbook. See it here.

I’m addicted to Pinterest! I have quite a few homeschool subject-specific boards myself. 🙂
