Make Friends with The Problems In Your Life

http://heartofwisdom.com/images/allthings.jpgI have had a rough few days, hospitalized, poked, prodded and frustrated dealing with the medical system.

I am home now after a blood transfusion and my blood counts are lower now than I went in. Translation- all that for nothing.

I was throwing a little pity party this morning my sweet friend Dolores read this devotions to me over the phone from Jesus Calling: A 365 Day Journaling Devotional reminding me to count it all joy!

Make Friends with
The Problems In Your Life

Though many things feel random and wrong, remember that I am sovereign over everything. I can fit everything into a pattern for good, but only to the extent that you trust Me.

Every problem can teach you something, transforming you little by little into the masterpiece I created you to be.

The very same problem can become a stumbling block over which you fall, if you react with distrust and defiance. The choice is up to you, and you will have to choose many times each day whether to trust Me or defy Me.

The best way to befriend your problems is to thank Me for them. This simple act opens your mind to the possibility of benefits flowing from your difficulties. You can even give persistent problems nicknames, helping you to approach them with familiarity rather that with dread.

The next step is to introduce them to Me, enabling Me to embrace them in My loving Presence.

I will not necessarily remove your problems, but My wisdom is sufficient to bring good out of every one of them.

Dolores and I talk a lot about why God allows difficulties. She came up with several catch phrases she puts on index cards around her house from spiritual lessons. I scrapbooked a few for her this morning.

Robin, I am glad you are home. I’m thanking Him for the strength He gives you. You made me remember P. Bunny Wilson and how she named her hand, “handy” when it began to tremble all the time. She was never at rest from it. She has written several encouraging books that I like. I was also reminded how fear can be like a paper tiger or a scarecrow, always trying to make us feel we are the weaklings, NOT!! You are so more than a conqueror in Christ. Put your hand on your head, Jesus, we thank you for the strength you are filling Robin with and creating new ways that she is more than a conqueror in you and that her physical body will follow and we cry “restore” in Your name. Amen. ((((((hugs sister))))

Hoping this message is a big encouragement to you. He talks about trust in trials. It’s not what you might expect though!

Robin, I am so glad you are home too. I am so very sorry for all the frustration of the “all for naught”. I can understand completely how your flesh would cry out in frustration. I know it’s difficult. I have a Jesus Calling for you as well. Well, I’ll post two of them.
This is Sept. 8th.I hope it encourages you.
“Accept each day as it comes to you. By that I mean, not only the circumstances of your day,but also the condition of your body. Your assignment is to trust Me absolutely, resting in My sovereignty and faitfulness.
On some days, your circumstances and your physical condition feel out of balance: The demands on you seem far greater then your strength. Days like that present a choice between two alternatives—giving up or relying on Me. Even if you wrongly choose the first alternative, I will not reject you. You can turn to me at any point, and I will help you crawl out of the mire of discouragment. I will infuse My strength into you moment by moment, giving you all that you need for this day. Trust Me by relying on my empowering Presence”.
    Psalm 42:5; 2 Cor 13:4; Jeremiah 31:25
    And July 5
Draw near to Me with a thankful heart, aware that your cup is overflowing with blessings. Gratitude enable you to perceive Me more clearly and to rejoice in our Love-relationship. Nothing can separate you from My loving Prsence! (written in italics!)
That is the basis of your security. Whenever you start to feel anxious, remind yourself that our security rests in Me alone, and I am totally trustworthy.
You will never be in control of your life circumstances, but you can relax and trust in My control. Instead of striving for a predictable, safe lifestyle, seek to know Me in greater depth and breadth. I long to make your life a glorious adventure, but you must stop clinging to old ways. I am always doing something new within My beloved ones. Be on the lookout for all that I have prepared for you.
    Romans 8:38-39; Psalm56:3-4; Isaiah 43:19

Sorry, I found another I have to post, last one.
Rejoice in Me always! No matter what is going on, you can rejoice in your Love-relationship with Me. This is the secret of being content in all circumstances.(italics) So many people dream of the day when they will finally be happy: when they are out of debt, when their children are out of trouble, when they have more leisure time, and so on. While they daydream, their moments are triclking into the ground like precious balm spilling wastefullly from overturned bottles.
Fantasizing about future happiness will never bring fulfillment, because fantasy is unreality. Even though I am invisible, I am far more Real then the world you see around you. My reality is eternal and unchanging. Bring your moments to Me, and I will fill them with vibrant Joy. Now is the time to rejoice in My Presence!
    Phil. 4:4,12; Psalm 102:27

I praise God for His sweet peace and sustaining power and hope that can be found in His presence. I will continue praying for you, my sweet sister.

a ps. Robin, I hope the last post doesn’t offend you. I think I posted it more for me bc I have a tendency to do the fantasizing about future happiness. I just didn’t want it to bring any condemnation on you. You are so productive, I don’t think you ever have the time to fantasize.
Rest in Jesus’s love and healing power. I may not understand His purpose but I do believe He wants you well. And I’m trusting Him for that!

  5. Robin -Thank you for your brave and beautiful witness. I believe our Savior smiles on your amazing trust in Him. “Thy will not mine…”

    Much Love,

    Beth

It is not legal to publish(in u.s.a.) what the ama did wrong, nor to publish what is right. (they only prosecute when it suits them, that’s why some get away with it). However, it is simple, safe and inexpensive.
