In this comical video Jim and Joweena Sanders have recruited some help to round up the neighbors for Christmas Eve services at their church.
Funny but kinda of sad isn’t it. Too many people try to beat people over the head with Jesus and run around telling people they are heathens bound for hell. This is is not the way to win people to Christ. First of all it is a bit prideful to assume everyone that doesn’t act like you is hell bound.
“We Christians tend to evaluate whether someone else is a Christian–whether someone is “in” or “out”–using a completely different set of criteria than what the Bible teaches, or what Jesus Himself modeled for us.” Jeff McQ
Jesus said (Mat 21)
“What is your opinion? A man had two sons. He came to the first and said, ‘Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.’
He said in reply, ‘I will not,’ but afterwards he changed his mind and went. The man came to the oth…er son and gave the same order. He said in reply, ‘Yes, sir,’ but did not go. Which of the two did his father’s will?” They answered, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Amen, I say to you, tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you.
Will you be spending the holidays with family and friends you have concerns about? Are you anxious because your family is the only Christian in the group?
Reflect the Light of Christ
Reflect the light of Christ and show His Truth by loving others. Pray and trust God. Let the Holy Spirit do the rest. Spend time on your relationship with God–allow His love to fill you to overflowing, though you and on to others.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God which surpasseth all understanding will lead your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus our Lord.
