Homeschool Mom Now Lives in Heaven

Fran, a 35 year old homeschool mom died Wednesday morning. She found out she had breast cancer November 2, 2005.

Her blog “Welcome to the World of Cancer” documents her journey through the world of cancer.

Her last post was written May 16 .  She was too weak to write again.

Fran  is now living happily ever after in heaven.

Fran’s husband Ed wrote about her passing this week:

Well the angels in heaven rejoiced Wednesday morning at 9:35 AM as they ushered my sweet Fran into the presence of our LORD.

What a day to meet Jesus it was the kind of morning we enjoyed many days, quite blue sky, with a slight breeze outside and with her family at her side.

I am to heart broken to have much to say right now. But I will say that out of the mouths of babes God speaks.

Our sweet daughter Emma summed up the day as we shared our evening meal with out Fran by saying “this has been a great day!”

My reply was “it has been a great day. Why was it a great day for you?”

She smiled at me with the sweetest twinkle in her eyes. “Mommy went home to be with Jesus!”

Oh for the confidence and peace of a child I pray that I can keep that today and tomorrow as the shell of who Fran was is laid to rest.

He then links to this song to be played at her celebration service.

One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Psalm 27:4-5

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, 2 Corinthians 5:1-2

Pray for the family. Fran’s husband Ed and her two little girls Emma and Eden.
