Keeping Up With Several Blogs

Or What the Heck is RSS?

Do you try to keep up with more than one blog? I browse over 300. I enjoy several blogs, but I don’t have the time to jump around to all of them. Almost every blog I read is listed in Homeschool Blog Awards. With a reader I browse the titles (like in a newspaper) and choose the articles I want to read. Here is a snippit of my reader.

Feed readers are intended to make it easier for users to gather and sift through large amounts of information. I love my RSS feeder. It has made my life much easier. I no longer need to jump from site to site for most of my daily reads and research. Everything comes to me. And I don’t have to give my name. I can subscribe anonymously. I found this great little video that explains it really well. Watch the video then read below.

Each day, I open my RSS reader and browse dozens of blogs by category: Bible Studies, Homeschooling, Hebrew Roots, Writing, Homemaking, Organization, etc., then choose the articles I want to read. It’s great!

I recently switched to the Google Reader because it’s the only reader I found that allows you to  leave comments from your Reader (with some tweaking).
