Helicopters and Locusts
I was watching an army show with my army infatuated 9 year-old when we saw military helicopters I instantly thought of these verses in Revelation.
The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore what looked like crowns of gold, and their fac of these verese in Revelation. s looked like human faces. Their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth.Their chests looked like iron breastplates, and the sound of their wings was like the noise of many horses and chariots hurrying into battle. Revelation 9:7-9
Eschatology (study of end times) is not my expertise. I hope you didn’t land here looking for end times explainations. I’m just a homeschool mom but I have read theories that John may have been describing a swarm of helicopters.
This was an opportunity to show my son how Rev9 could be John describing helicopters and opportunity to show him how to use the Internet to look for information. These are some of the photos we found.
One of the photos described as picture of U.S. locusts launching airborn assault on Iraq. The attack was called OPERATION SWARMER. I couldn’t verify there are helicopters called locusts.

I think that is a wise way to view it, seeing as how they did not have anything like helicopters, cars, or the like in those days. So if he was given a vision of these, he would have to use terms he knew to describe what he saw. And it fits with the fact that military power around the world is what will be used in wars and attacks on countries.
my son is doing unit study on teh history of our Military. We are also discussing John’s revelation. My son whom is 9, made that connection, he said “John just went into a time machine & came out in our century and because he was a 1rst century guy, did not know exactly what the choppers were”. i was speechless.

My presentation on Revelation Chapter 9, Part 2, covers some of the questions people posed from the first video. I reinforce the fact that the stars falling are Atom Bombs, and the first bomb was a terrorist attack.
