Hospital for Cardiac Cath This Thursday

I’m sorry my posts are focused on my health issues this week. I had no idea I’d be posting about it again so soon. I want to thank you for your prayers. I went to bed singing praises and woke up up singing praises to God this morning. I feel your prayers. God has given me a beautiful peace.

Recently, I announced I have Pulmonary Hypertension (right side of the heart and the lung). I had a nuclear stress test Monday and an echo-cardiogram this morning. I was not supposed to get the results for either until July 23. But, after the echo, the nurse told me the doctor wanted to see me.

The nuclear test showed a left blockage (surprise!) and they want me to go into the hospital for a left heart catheterization and to have a stent put in on Thursday.

While he explained the results of the nuclear stress test, they brought in my echo results that showed confirmed pulmonary hypertension in the right heart. So he scheduled me for a left and right heart catheterization for Thursday at 7:00 am. Whew. This is happening so fast.

Most heart attacks happen in the left side of the heart. It is a bigger muscle and responsible for pumping blood through the entire body. The right side is smaller because it only pumps blood to the lungs and back. PH is a rare disease, a right heart problem, and our main concern. These procedures are the beginning of many. See image.

Please continue to pray for wisdom for the doctors to find everything necessary to treat me properly. Please pray for my hubby and children who are supportive but worried.

I’ll should only be in the hospital two days. Peggy is running everything at HOW. I will not be available to help with blog themes this week.

Thank you again for your prayers!
