What a labor of beauty!
I have a really silly question though -
Once you complete the lapbook, how do you use it? I mean, I imagine the kids are learning all the details as they put the lapbook together. But once you finish the artwork, do you pick it up again? Or is it just a nice project filed in the ‘done’ drawer? If you continue to use it, how? How do you incorporate it into other studies?
The idea is to learn as you create each booklet project and then seeing the big picture when it is completed.
There are tons of neat ideas for storing online (like decorated cereal boxes). Use it as review at the end of the year. Share with neighbors, friends, etc. Compare how much you learned from year to year. My children will keep them until they are adults to share with their children.

We are building a history binder and I didn’t want it to be plain and boring. We will use it the whole time we are schooling (just adding to it as we go) and it will be fun for them to build as well as review. With the kids being so young, this makes their books VERY special. We can’t say enough =D

I found you from a homeschooler I follow on twitter. I LOVE your Genesis lapbook. Thank you for sharing. For some reason the difficult part is trying to figure out how you glued the file folders together to make the booklet. It’s so easy I’m sure which is why you didn’t include it, but I’m a little slow on art projects.

Robin, the video is fantastic. It’s a great help for those of us who need visuals and are craft impaired! Is there a printout for the Tower of Babel and the memory verses? My son brought it to my attention that they are missing from our pack of papers we are cutting.
