I think we have been taught to just expect to bear fruit because we have a relationship with the Lord. Like we can be who we are, no sacrifice, no surrender, and we'll just be good Christians. It doesn't happen that way. We must surrender; we must know Him - read His Word; we must be willing to give up our own ideals for his plan. Daily. Hourly. Minute-by-minute. boy is it tough.
