Encourage One Another

Encourage in the Greek is parakaleo, which literally means “to call alongside.” It presumes that its object is under pressure (fearful, weak, overwhelmed), and it means to strengthen by giving appropriate aid.
Christians need to be spiritually strengthened on a regular basis. Webster says encourage is to give courage to; to inspire with courage, spirit, or hope; to raise, or to increase, the confidence of; to animate; enhearten; to incite; to help forward; — the opposite of discourage .
The Super Simple Spiritual Sunday Meme was created to share encouraging links. I read hundreds of posts each week. These are the ones I found especially encouraging:
- The Gift – Windscraps (Browse this blog for several stories of God whispering.)
- Somewhere in the Middle – Seeking Old Paths (on making assumptions from blogs).
- Temperance and Gentleness - Milk and Honey (by 13-year-old Rachel Dixon)
- Be Attitudes for Mothers – No Place Like Home (Congratulations on the new Grandbaby Robyn!)
- The Masterpiece – Sumi’s Corner
- God Loves Wrinkled Shirts – Wrinkled Shirt Ministries
