Great post! One outgrowth of a "maskless" relationship is the ability to both give and receive in friendships. I used to struggle with receiving because it meant taking down that mask long enough to admit that I was imperfect and needy. Living maskless has made the give and take of friendship (my friend Kym wrote a great blog about that a couple of weeks ago at http://bit.ly/kBq4Ba ) a lot easier and much more rewarding.

I have been all too guilty of wearing masks throughout my life. (I used this very topic for a homiletics assignment in Bible school.) I find myself hiding behind the mask of "I'm okay... nothing's wrong with me" way too often. Thanks for sharing this post!
