THE CONCEPT OF MARRYING IF ONE COULD NOT 'CONTAIN,' RATHER THAN BURNING WITH PASSION, IS STRAIGHT FROM THE BIBLE, AND SCRIPTURAL; MARRIAGE IS GOOD--IT SAYS--AND AT THE SAME TIME A CONFLICT WHEN ONE STRIVES TO FOLLOW GOD SINGLEHEARTEDLY AND CELIBACY A PRACTICAL CHOICE...FOR...THE...ONE...CALLED...TO...IT, AS SAYS JESUS, WHO RECOMMENDED IT, FOR THOSE WHO COULD DO IT... THAT PARAGRAPH ABOUT 'DUALISM' SEEMS RATHER OBJECTIONABLE IN THAT IT SEEMS TO PASS OFF AS 'THE CHURCH,' TRUE TEACHING OF THE BIBLE; BEWARE OF THROWING ANYTHING OUT WHILE AT THE SAME TIME TEACHING THE GOODNESS OF MARRIAGE, WHICH INDEED EXISTS; WE MUST NOT LOSE THE FULL TRUTH, TO FOCUS ON PARTIAL TRUTH; REGAIN THE BEAUTY OF MARRIAGE MISCONSTRUED BY LATER GENERATIONS, BUT DO NOT MISLEAD AS THOUGH THE BIBLE DOES NOT SAY WHAT IT SAID/SAYS ABOUT CELIBACY, UNLESS I HAVE MISUNDERSTOOD! THE ROOTS ARE SQUARELY IN THE BIBLE, NOT ONLY IN 'THE CHURCH' OF LATER GENERATIONS! ONLY 'THE TWIST,' IS UNBIBLICAL! SEX IS GOOD; MARRIAGE IS GOOD; 'THE MARRIAGE BED IS UNDEFILED'; AND THE BIBLE DOES SAY 'MORTIFY THE FLESH,' BUT MEANING SINFUL URGES, AT THE SAME TIME TEACHING STEWARDSHIP OF ALL THAT IS ENTRUSTED TO US AS A GIFT OF GOD, AS MOST CERTAINLY OUR BODY IS THAT WAS 'GOOD,' AT CREATION, AND IS ONLY MARRED BY SIN--OF ADAM, AND OURSELVES--! ARE BODIES WILL BE RESTORED IN THE END, AND JESUS ROSE WITH HIS, 'FLESH AND BONE,' THOUGH 'FLESH AND BLOOD,' WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM... OUR SPIRITUAL BODIES WILL BE BODIES! If I were watching me I would be so impatient for me to get to the truth it would drive me crazy, but now I know He is smiling big time as I am learning sooooooo much! Thank you for the wonderful explaination between Hewbrew and Greek world views which clears up so much that I didn't even realize was muddying the waters. What a journey this has already been. We are looking forward to learning so much more. Since we have been reading and studying the book, Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus, we have learned so much. There is so much sweetness, richness, we have missed out on in our walk, but I am glad to be seeing it, hearing it, feeling it... walking in it more and knowing such wonderful things about our LORD and his plans and meanings! The children's church class I teach just did a Purim play for the church tonight and the Pastor told the church we all needed to know more about our Hebraic roots and then thanked DH, ds and I for all the work we put in to making sure the children are learning what we adults never learned. Then this shows up in my in box. It's so nice to see that even though we often look like square pegs in a round hole, we're on the right path! Thank you again for sharing this.
