"Dear Mr. Obama" Video and My Hubby
Freedom Has a Price
The powerful 2-minute video below, titled ‘Dear Mr. Obama,’ has been viewed more than 11 million times on YouTube. It is especially moving to our family. I cried.
My husband has something in common with this solider. (If you can’t see the video below it may be your Internet settings. You can view video here. )

My husband served as a Medic in the Army in the Vietnam War. He received his first Purple Heart and Bronze Star for receiving a bullet in the shoulder while untangling a man during live gunfire from a barbwire fence.
He received the second Bronze Star a month later. A land mine blew up 3 comrades and blew off my husband’s leg. He stopped the bleeding of his own leg with a tourniquet, then went on to give three other men lifesaving medical treatment before passing out.
Like the solider in the video, my husband walks with a prosthetic leg as a daily reminder that freedom has a price. In all these years, through daily consistent pain, he never complains. Like the solider in the video my husband loves America and appreciates the sacrifices made.
Mr. Obama, the war in Iraq is not a mistake.

“…we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations, and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us. The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave.” Patrick Henry, March 23, 1775

May God have mercy on us again, one more time on these elections. My heart is grieved to see how different America, *the land of free* has changed since I’ve come here in 1986……We all need to be praying for God to forgive our greed and look into His ways for our way of life, not for man in government to supply our daily bread.
Thank you Robin’s husband, for the time you invested for “Freedom’s cause”.
Katia
Thanks you for sharing this. Though I pop around on YouTube, I have never seen the video until today. I appreciate you willingness to share your opinion and your desire for true freedom.
Also, please thank your husband for serving our country and the sacrifice he made for our freedom.
God bless.
First, let me say “Thank You!” to your husband for his service to our nation and the sacrifices he has made to keep our nation free.
Secondly, I would like to encourage anyone who stops by this site to do what they can today and tomorrow to help John McCain. You can go to his web-site and sign-up to make phone calls and read a scripted message to encourage others to get out and vote for McCain. Here is the link: https://secure.johnmccain.com//Secure/Signup.aspx?smode=phonebank
Third, I would like to encourage everyone to PRAY! Pray for God’s mercy on our nation. God can miraculously place McCain/Palin in the White House in His mercy and keep Obama/Biden out! Socialism will destroy our nation from the inside out. We won’t have to wait on foreign powers to do it for us. You can join in prayer with many across our nation by praying with Focus on the Family, Chuck Swindoll, Henry Blackaby, Alan Sears and Ravi Zacharias as you listen to this audio: http://listen.family.org/daily/A000001615.cfm
“If my people, who are called My name, will humble themselves and
pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; THEN I will
hear from heaven; I will forgive their sin; and I will heal their land.”
Thank you to your husband for his sacrifice. Kevin’s father also served in Viet Nam. He was in a base that had mortar fire and a mortar hit a jet fuel tank and it DID NOT EXPLODE. If it had, he would not be here today. They tested the fuel because they said it must be bad fuel… but it came back fine. I believe that it was God’s providence for my husband and my children that kept his father alive that day. I pray one day also that my FIL will become a believer. He has a heart bigger than the moon.

Wow! Thanks for posting this, Robin! May we never take our freedom OR the men and women who fight for it, for granted!
Please tell your hero that we appreciate his service!
Mr. Sampson,
Thank you for your service, for keeping us safe, and for allowing us to maintain the freedoms we have.
Robyn, thank you for sharing with us Sweetie. I wish more people would think seriously about this election and vote the Bible instead of focusing on what someone can give them….
I know He’s still in control and pray His choice will be placed in office. Shalom, joie
I thank God for all of the heros like your husband! If hadn’t been for all of the brave men and women we would probably have been under tyranny ages ago. Thank you again for sharing this with us. – Veronica – Great site

Thank you!!!!!!!!!
No True Christian supports a war = killing people – even evil people – for the sake of piece of land – even when that piece of land is called “Home and Country”.
“Defend your homecountry”, “defend your land”, “defend your property” is not a Biblical quote, “Thou Shall Not Kill” is.
No True Christian will command thousands of soldiers to travel to the other side of the world to kill people and to destroy their property because a couple of houses were trashed and because of an invented threat… not even because thousands of people were killed.
A True Christian turns the other cheek, not take a life – no, hundreds of lives – for a life.
Use the Bible to guide your life in issues like this as well, not the Republican Party line or Fox News. God will not ask why you weren’t a good Republican and Patriot, but why you weren’t a Christian.
Have you read the Bible, especially the Old Testament? It is full of stories of battles and war, many of which God went with the Israelites and gave them victory over their enemies. Rather than stating our opinions of what we believe a true Christian will do we should base our comments on the truth of what the scriptures teach.
Regardless of whether you believe the threat of Saddam Hussein was real or not, and whether or not he was killing off his own countrymen doesn’t have anything to do with whether or not you are a real Christian.
