Great Post!

Just think if we Christians put as much energy into reaching the lost as they did throwing stones. We'd have revival.
Cool meme.

Great post, Robin! You really hit the nail on the head with "My wounds from the regular throwing of stones are still open. They begin to heal and then more stones are thrown." I just continue to trust that God has led me this far in my spiritual walk, and that He will continue to lead me, grow me, and strengthen me in His Love! Even if that means being abandoned and left unloved by others...

One of the most insidious adversaries salvation faces is another Christian bitterly condemning in the name of love.

In Say What You Mean: Defending the Faith, I teach that we are called first to love and treat others with respect and speak in grace or our "truth" as we see it will never reach through.

"An offended brother is more unyielding than a fortified city, and disputes are like the barred gates of the citadel." Proverbs 18:19

And many of these issues are what the Lord calls "Disputable Matters" in Romans 14. He tells us that we must be careful not to stumble fellow Christians with our righteous indignation.

Thank you for speaking to this issue. Sometimes only those who have been really broken and hurt by others - but who have tasted grace - are able to show that same grace to others. You give more grace because you've so richly received of His, and I thank you for that, sister. ♥

[...] Being Understood is a Luxury ~ I love to read Robin’s blog, Heart of Wisdom. This entry especially spoke to me. So many times I find myself dwelling on how I have been misunderstood. Robin addresses this a bit. Take it one step further and think about how often we misunderstand those around us. We can be so unaware of the struggles people are facing. But Jesus took the time to listen and understand. I pray that I can be more like Jesus in this way. [...]

Great advice as always, Robin. I've been getting a lot of messages from the Lord lately on changes I need to make in how I parent. It is too easy for me to be critical and too hard for me to smile sometimes. I am a "J" personality - lists and schedules - control. I'm learning that when my focus is on HIS list (fruits of the Spirit are a great list to start with), I get more than I dreamed accomplished while never sacrificing the respect, love and gentleness I don't want to be without.

I think it all boils down to turning our eyes UPward and OUTward and not INward.

<em>sprittibee's last blog post..<a href='http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Sprittibee/~3/312134783/photography-link-and-weekend-update.html' rel="nofollow">Photography Link and Weekend Update</a></em>
