One could'nt have asked for more than this.... Amazing post which compels all the parents in the world to rethink their balancing strategy in regards to teaching their children. Bible is the most holy book in the world and One realizes that with the enlightenment of true Knowledge all other aspects viz Maths, Language or be it Logic automatically improves as your mind strenght augments to a great height.

What a great encouragement for us, moms, and for our children, to take roots in the Word of God and to delight in it! THANK YOU for your repeated emphasis on the unsurpassing value of God's Word in our lives!

I accidentally found your website two years ago when I was preparing to home-school my older children, and I immediately liked your advice on studying God's Word first and God's world next(all other subjects). It truly has been a blessing to start a day with reading a Bible story for a day and discussing it, and later pulling out the Bible land maps, reading more about the times and the people we read in the story, placing them on a simple timeline, and focusing on what we learn about God and about a walk of faith. It sometimes takes us an hour or more, but in a way the Bible story is like the skeleton, upon which we add "chunks" of geography, history, customs and traditions, reading rules, comprehension and narrative skills etc. The Bible IS the ultimate textbook!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR MINISTRY OF LOVE AND WORDS OF WISDOM FROM ABOVE!

HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS CELEBRATING OUR KING!

Kind of HOW Teaching Approach book in a nutshell!
I like your illustration on "balance". You know I get tired of people's definitions of what balance means. Usually they mean something different.
The Lord is the priority and family discipleship should come first in home education. Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to write this. From my struggles in homeschooling, I find myself telling new homeschoolers to focus on the Bible, character issues, and 3R's until 3rd grade. My recommendations to them are to glean from Charlotte Mason and Ruth Bbeechick methods as well as the HOWTA. In addition to prayer and God's word, these have helped to liberate me from following the "State" guidelines and pure textbook approaches (the method of learning I grew up with).
