Have had it for over thirty years. I have had two resections...was in the hospital at one point for over a month....I then was hospitalized for a blockage..When I was at my absolute lowest, my best friend found a book: Breaking the Vicious Cycle by Elaine Gotchall. This book changed my life. It is a very strict regimen of diet. She is a nutritionist whose very young daughter was diagnosed with Crohn's and the doctors were recommending surgery. She was against that, did her research and came up with this diet. I was on this diet for over two years and it changed my life. I told my doctor about it, and he is now recommending it to his other patients. This diet did not 'cure' me, but it helped me live my life more normally. Obviously my prayers are with you... I am not sure why I said Crohns. But all those bowel conditions pretty much fall in the same category. I do hope and pray that God will guide you into truth and knowledge with health and lead you on a path that can reverse disease in your body. I would highly recommend looking at the Makers Diet by Dr. Rubin. I have put an aunt on his probiotic supplemention for irratiable bowel and she felt the best then than she had for awhile. Another women was doing some of his things for crohns and had great results with it. Dr. Rubin is a messianic believer who almost died of Crohns disease when he was 19 years old and the Lord worked with him to reverse it. He turned his passion of the information into his life's calling to help other. You can also keep up on my blog a little if you like. I need to change the title. To health blog or something. But, if you go to my link, you can then click on the "Uri" blog...I will be giving some health information in and outside of Uri. :) I truly wish the best on for you and would highly encourage you to consider the health route before the intestinal removing route. I know a women who did the intestinal removing route and she has never had good health since. She is always low in something. Her skin coloring is bad. Compared to some who try the health route first and either greatly control or cure the disease. Yes..I did say cure! Why? Because God wants us to walk in that Blessing...the blessing of Health.
