Another Blood Transfusion

The hospital just called and rescheduled my blood transfusion for Thursday morning 8:00. Recently, I had several hospital procedures preformed to find the cause of intestinal bleeding I’d battled for several years (put on the back burner for a while to deal with heart issues). I lost 3 units of blood in the last few weeks leaving me very weak.

I’m looking forward to having energy! Just in time –I will have our youngest boys and 4 grandsons and 2 nephews all under under age  10 coming for the holidays–No time for anemia!

Heart of Wisdom Announcements

As usual, God has a plan. I have been able to use this down time in exciting Bible study and research and adding the new information to Ancient History: Adam to Messiah.

We have a lot of new things coming in January for Heart of Wisdom. Finally getting on top of these medical issues will help. I can’t wait to see what Father will do next. I am so grateful He is allowing me to participate!

  1. Robin,
Have you heard that coconut is good for Crohn’s? Even coconut macaroons! Just thought I’d let you know.

This new blog layout looks great but even better, it loads in seconds. I had trouble viewing your blog before because of the time it took my mac to load it but this was super duper fast! (I’m totally redoing my blog for the new year too – just needed a very good clean out)

I pray that your health will improve with this diagnosis and treatment and that you will be abundantly blessed to spend time with your beautiful family over the holidays.

    love and peace,

  8. Robin,
Glad to hear you have a diagnosis, but don’t like the answer they gave you 🙁 Praying Papa will heal this up for you so you can be back to your wonderful, energetic self. The Master’s Diet by Jordan Rubin is supposed to be good for Crohnes. He advocates a more natural, raw food type diet with a few supplements. That’s just for your info…I’m sure you’re getting tons of advice. Just know I’m praying for you. Shalom, Joie

Robin, Thank you for the update. Having a member of my own family with Crohns, I can relate to the relief of a diagnosis. I can tell you that there are wonderful treatments for this as you know. I think of you as one of my best friends even though we’ve never met in person. May God continue to do the wonderful work in you that is so evident already. Lisa

    Robin,
Are they certain it is Crohns and not Ulcerative Colitis? UC has a few more treatment options than Crohns. Praying your are able to go into remission soon. sherie (UC sufferer for 12 years, J-Pouch surgery 5 years ago)

  14. Robin, I am very sorry to hear of your battle with health. You are truly an inspiration to me…I just love reading your blog! I do hope and pray that God will guide you into truth and knowledge with health and lead you on a path that can reverse disease in your body. I would highly recommend looking at the Makers Diet by Dr. Rubin. I have put an aunt on his probiotic supplemention for irratiable bowel and she felt the best then than she had for awhile. Another women was doing some of his things for crohns and had great results with it. Dr. Rubin is a messianic believer who almost died of Crohns disease when he was 19 years old and the Lord worked with him to reverse it. He turned his passion of the information into his life’s calling to help other. You can also keep up on my blog a little if you like. I need to change the title. To health blog or something. But, if you go to my link, you can then click on the “Uri” blog…I will be giving some health information in and outside of Uri. 🙂 I truly wish the best on for you and would highly encourage you to consider the health route before the intestinal removing route. I know a women who did the intestinal removing route and she has never had good health since. She is always low in something. Her skin coloring is bad. Compared to some who try the health route first and either greatly control or cure the disease. Yes..I did say cure! Why? Because God wants us to walk in that Blessing…the blessing of Health. I can’t promise you a cure. On God can. But, I would still highly encourage you to investigate this route first. I know what it is like to be in bad health. That is where my health journey started a few years ago. And I know what it is like to recover and feel great again! Wishing God’s Best for you and your.

    Shalom,
    Larissa

  15. I’m sorry, the gal who was helped by the Makers Diet had ulcerative colitis. I am not sure why I said Crohns. But all those bowel conditions pretty much fall in the same category. Crohns is just the worst stage of them. 🙂

  16. Bless you Robin! I will pray for your health and healing and may God give you favor and wisdom for future decisions regarding treatment, supplements, etc.!
Thank you so much for sharing so much of His light and love through all you do. Your posts always bless me and I find it a comfort to come to your blog and get a good dose of encouragement.

May you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers!3 John 1:2
    In Him,
    Dawn

  17. Robin,
I so appreciate what you share on your blog! I will pray for you, dear sister in The Lord!

    In His Love,
    Kathy
    Colossians 1: 9-14
    Hebrews 13: 20-21
(two blessings I send as prayerful blessings, for you, Robin)

  18. He restores my soul – takes my soul back to the beginning.

  19. I too have Crohn’s disease. Have had it for over thirty years. I have had two resections…was in the hospital at one point for over a month….I then was hospitalized for a blockage..When I was at my absolute lowest, my best friend found a book: Breaking the Vicious Cycle by Elaine Gotchall. This book changed my life. It is a very strict regimen of diet. She is a nutritionist whose very young daughter was diagnosed with Crohn’s and the doctors were recommending surgery. She was against that, did her research and came up with this diet. I was on this diet for over two years and it changed my life. I told my doctor about it, and he is now recommending it to his other patients. This diet did not ‘cure’ me, but it helped me live my life more normally.

Obviously my prayers are with you…

With warmest wishes for a very Merry Christmas,
and a new path for you in the coming New Year.

    Warmly, Sarah

Can anyone with a better background than me confirm this page’s claims?
