A Journey Home: Homeschool in TN to Israel
About a dozen years ago my family attended church with the Waller family in TN. We were all excited about learning about the Bible holidays and Jewish roots of the Christian faith. Tommy and Sherri are one of the sweetest, most caring couples I have ever known. The Lord is doing a powerful work in their lives.
Franklin Springs made a documentary about the Waller’s family (now 11 children) and journey titled “A Journey Home.”
It is a fascinating and encouraging story of how the Lord led Tommy to quit his secure corporate job in Nashville to come home to work with the family. They didn’t know why, but they were called to live in a Mennonite community and learn to live off the land. As they followed God’s leading and learned organic farming, God led them to minister in Jerusalem and in the West Bank areas of Israel!
We have watched this powerful and beautiful documentary a dozen times, sharing with friends and family. I purchased a dozen DVDs to share. Read about the DVD and the Waller’s story at these links:

My husband recently started a new job in Nashville, TN. We are staying in a hotel in the area waiting to move into our farm home on October 29th. I’m excited to be back in TN and hope to visit the Waller family when they are in the U.S. Maybe one day we can fellowship together in Israel! Pray for the Waller family and drop them a word of encouragement.

Love the story, I went to a Messianic Syn when we lived in Fla, as my family on my Mom’s side are Jewish. It’s always been in my heart and when the Lord opened my eyes to the truth that is when your book came out “Jesish Holidays” and what a blessing it has been. People don’t realize in heaven we will be celebrating the Feast and such just like Yeshua did!!!! Hope things are going better for you? I have been praying for you and your family.
I bought A Journey Home last January and lovelovelove it. It resonated so much truth to me. It also sparked a (still) tiny (but growing) flame for Israel in my heart. We’ll see where God takes it!

We just saw “A Journey Home.” What a wonderful, uplifting movie. The Wallers are a great model for families today, as they are barraged with worldly things daily. The movie ends in 2005…does anyone know where they are now…what they are doing?????
