30-day Honor Your Husband Challenge!
Christine at Fruit in Season started a terrific challenge. Read the entire post here. It’s a great way to be accountable and share. I hope all the new Heart of Wisdom bloggers join in.
Here’s what you do: Choose a few small goals for yourself each week and make sure to post them on your blog. Write them on post-its and put them on your mirror, in your car and your purse, or anywhere else you’ll see them. Keep a journal for the month about successes and struggles. What is hardest for you to do? What comes easily? How is your husband responding to your efforts? Check out the other blogs listed on Fruit in Season for ideas.
Then go over to Fruit in Season and join Mr Linky.
My Goals this Week
My daughter Rebecca and her five children will arrive today from TN. I will be in my glory surrounded by grandchildren and children. I’ve been reading First Corinthians and plan on working on showing my husband patience and kindness this week.
Paul taught how love acts in I Corinthians 13:4. The first thing he stressed was patience: “Love suffers long.” Immediately following, he writes, “and is kind,” inferring that love and kindness belong together to such an extent that we can conclude that without kindness no act is truly done in love!
- I purpose to pray daily to grow in long-suffering and kindness. I will pray that God’s Spirit will ripple out from me to my husband to touch the lives of all our family members.
- This week I will work on being more patient in my expectations of my hubby.
- This week I will strive to complete one random act of kindness daily to my hubby. Kindness sows the seeds that can only bear good fruit.
