Quilting Again After a 23 Year Break

My daughter passed in 2014 so I began making memory quilts for her boys. The process has been very good for me. Time to remember, reflect, and pray. I haven’t quilted in  23 years!

I enjoy designing the quilts more that making them. I like designing patterns even more. I decided to make some of my digital papers into fabric to quilt. It is very, very expensive to make a design into fabric. So I’m taking my time planning. Below are patterns I’ve been playing with.

Ava Rose patterns from Project Life cards  look lovely in a tulip block.

Strawberry Melon papers  made an interesting log cabin block.

Here is one layout how it would look quilted.

I used Green and Gray patterns for a  simple block

Alternating the block gives a tumbling block look.

Navy and Pink patterns from Cynthia Digital Papers make a unique Ohio Star Block.
