My First Thirteen Things Thursday
Have you heard of the Thursday Thirteen? Every Thursday, bloggers
jot down thirteen things about their week, thirteen random things about
themselves or their ideas, etc. My first thirteen will be about HOW. Check back
on Thursdays to see where this leads. I look forward to posting thirteen things
about HOW, homeschooling, scrapbooking, various Bible studies, our home life,
etc.
Thirteen Things Going on at Heart of Wisdom
- HOW Blog: I am officially committing to blogging thirteen things
on Thursdays. I am a list-maker, so I love this idea! I see this as a very
productive use of time as lists help organize thoughts, ideas, priorities, etc.
- HOW Ebooks: All ebooks in Ancient History: Adam to Messiah are
being updated. A new ebook will be added to the customer's download area every
few weeks. The final three science units for year one-Matter, Motion and
Electricity-are in progress. Publication date to be announced.
- HOW Special Offers: This week HOW's special offers include:
"Reproducible Maps, Charts, Timelines and Illustrations"; "Daily Life in the
Time of Jesus"; and
"Israel: A

- HOW Egroup: How exciting it is to watch the growth and
encouragement on the HOW egroup! There is talk about exchanging lesson plans for
units that are not available. There are over three hundred and eighty members in
this email list group started by Susan in
Australia. I
will be posting surprise coupons, for HOW egroup members only, beginning this

- HOW Survey: A survey for HOW users is active. Those contributing

- New HOW Distributor: STL/Faithworks is now distributing Heart of
Wisdom Publications. See STL Winter Catalog 2007 at (see HOW books on pages 6, 9, 10, 50, 51, 53). This is exciting
news, as book- stores can now easily get HOW books. You can help Heart of Wisdom by asking
for our titles at your local bookstore.
- New HOW Book: Let's Make a Scrapbook Folder: Ancient Greece by
Debbie Jackson and Sharon Puryear is in layout. (See STL catalog page 53.) Let's Make a Scrapbook Folder: Adam
to Abraham by Debbie Jackson and Sharon Puryear is being written. Publication
date to be announced.
- New HOW Book: Nurturing the Write Relationship by Mary Ann
Froehlich is in the final proofreading stages. (See STL catalog page 51).
Publication date to be announced.
- Revision: The Heart of Wisdom Teaching Approach is being
revised (the notebooking chapter will be expanded and typos fixed). We'll give
the new chapter free to all those who purchased the current version. Planned for
January 2007.
- New HOW Book: The Scrapbooking to Learn Idea Book is being
written. (See STL catalog page 51.) Due out Spring 2007.
- Digital Scrapbooking Kits: Coming to Scrapbookingtolearn.com: Several artists are working
on digital scrapbooking kits. Our goal is to provide at least one kit for every
topic in the HOW Four-Year Plan.
- New Stores: Engineers are working on opening two new HOW stores:
Hebrew Roots (an extension of Biblicalholidays.com) and Scrapbooking to Learn
(an extension of Scrapbookingtolearn.com). Look for both stores in September!
- Coming Soon: HOW and This Old Schoolhouse magazine have a special
announcement coming. Watch your email for this announcement next week.
